These Terms of Service govern your use of Shofar Bot — the Discord bot and the dashboard at app.shofarbot.com. By adding the bot to a server or accessing the dashboard, you agree to these terms.
The service
Shofar Bot is a Discord bot that lets you create, schedule, and publish embeds through a visual editor and a dashboard. The service depends on the Discord platform's own availability and may be affected by outages, API changes, or policies outside our control.
Permissions and installation
Installing the bot requires the Manage Server permission on Discord. The bot only requests the minimum permissions needed to post embeds — view channels, send messages, and embed links — and never asks for administrator access.
Plans, billing, and cancellation
Paid plans are billed monthly in USD through Discord's own subscription system or a partner payment provider (Merchant of Record). You can cancel anytime from the dashboard's subscription page; your plan stays active until the paid period ends, then automatically reverts to the Free plan. The weekly message quota keeps its own independent 7-day cycle, regardless of your billing date.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Shofar Bot to publish illegal content, spam, or material that violates Discord's own Terms of Service. We reserve the right to suspend a server's access if it violates these rules.
Your content
The embed content you create (title, description, fields, images) belongs to you and your server. We use it only to operate the service — saving drafts, templates, and scheduled messages — as described in our Privacy Policy.
Disclaimer of warranties
Shofar Bot is provided "as is", with no guarantee of uninterrupted availability. We aren't liable for losses arising from Discord outages, network issues, or misconfiguration on your own server.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the dashboard or by email, where applicable. Continuing to use the service after an update means you accept the new terms.
